In a restaurant, and for food sold unpackaged, the information has to be available to you before you order, whether on the menu, on a sheet in the room, or from the staff.

So do not be shy about asking. The right question is not "does this have allergens", it is which of those fourteen groups are in this dish. In Persian cooking nuts, sesame and dairy turn up in unexpected places: in a stew, in a sauce, in a sweet, and even in rice finished with saffron and butter.

Bremen is a city where walking works

The centre of Bremen is compact and most of what you would visit or shop for is within walking distance, but the registered group of Iranian food businesses here is small and not all of it sits in the middle.
